Reading digital text is different from reading text printed on dead trees. I wonder how truly different different it is and how my teaching needs to change as I encourage my students to see words as their friends and take ownership of their reading development.
I have been given the challenge of teaching the lowest 20 freshman English 9. I know this group is the disaffected. I am hoping to learn ways to use digital texts to engage them in their own learning.
